Assignment #7

Chiaroscuro: Italian, from chiaro clear, light + oscuro obscure, dark

Compositional chiaroscuro is most clearly defined by artist's use of contrasting "lights" and "darks" during the Renaissance. The paintings of Leonardo da Vinci, Carravagio and Titian best demonstrate the use of chiaroscuro.

Description: Based upon class lecture, create a series of black and white photos that convey compositional chiaroscuro. Each student must post three interior space photos, three exterior space photos, and three portrait photos exemplifying this artistic device. Overall design must be considered with each photo.
