da storma da century

power out? a hundred years ago that wouldn't have meant anything...but today it means everything stops. Everything slows down. This particular storm and power out was especially bad. Especially long. Especially destructive. Yet, i can say without a doubt, i've never seen my neighbors talk and help eachother more, never had the realization of how fragile we are. Never seen the stars the way i did that night, without any light polution. It's like God was just up there saying "guys...look at what I did. Everything's gonna be okay." It's amazing, because they're always there, imense and chaotic, burning, exploding, and being reborn. Incomprehedibly huge, and we never even just stop to look up. I find it funny how we always complain about needing a break, and how we're too fast past. But when everything stops, and we have an entire week off, just to sit around and read, or spend time with eachother, we complain about being bored; when we finally have time, we have to much. People are funny. But not in a haha way
